LESSON PLAN SESSION

24 August 2018
       Today we have another class observation. First class is the social studies class with Mr. Sylvester Victorio. We learn about the history in Philippines. We join the class with the other students from first year in Pangasinan State University. Mr. Sylvester Victorio teach us about the history of the culture in Philippines. After we join the history class, we met Sir Teddy to discusses about the lesson plan. He told us about what the important thing that we should have or do when we will teach here in Philippines. Then we met Ma’am Sunshine to discusses about the structure of the lesson plan. They told us a lot of things, and we must do that when we will practice teaching at the class.

The Usage of Primary and Secondary Sources

-          Ask the students to pay attention when the video is played
-          Ask students to analyzed what kind of source that the narrator used in the first video

-          Ask students to compared both video and analyzed the difference between both videos

D.    Discussion
Student should discuss about:
•     In writing history we should know about the sources. There’s 2 sources to study and write history, Primary and Secondary sources. Primary source is one that was created at or extremely near the time of the historical events it describe. It is also usually the product of either the person involved in the event or an eye-witness to the event. Secondary source is any item was created significantly after the events it describes or is related to, or that was created by someone who was not directly involved in or an eye-witness to the events.
•     Not all of the sources are valid or authentic, so the historian needs to verify the sources which one is authentic and the truth story or event. This activity is called Critiques of sources.
•     The function of critiques of sources for study history
E.     Generalization
There’s two kind of sources to study or write history, primary and secondary sources. But not all the sources are valid and authentic, so we need to do critiques for the sources. Critiques of sources is important to prevent the forgeries, misleading documents, fraud, etc. To do critiques of sources we need auxiliary science, such as Egyptology, philology, and Assyriology.
F.      Value Integration
History is an important thing in human life. If we want to study history we need to do some research to know that the events is real and prevent from the hoax.
G.    Enrichment activity
1.      Manage class to get ready for the game
2.      With the paper ball the game is started
3.      Throwing the ball to the students
4.      The students who get the ball should answer the random question
5.      The students must answer the question correctly

  1. Why we need to do critiques of sources?
  2. Mention 3 auxiliary science to history and describe those!
  3. How we do the test of authenticity?

Find 2 primary sources of the event in history

The fight Setelah breakdown yang bener-bener ngehancurin tembok percaya diriku, aku nyoba nyari-nyari lagi produk dan perawatan yang “mungkin” cocok buatku. Tanya banyak orang, nerima masukan dari banyak orang. And I was so stupid.... aku terlalu berambisi untuk bisa punya kulit mulus bebas jerawat biar orang-orang berhenti komen tentang itu. Akhirnya aku memutuskan untuk mencoba perawatan di salah satu klinik kecantikan yang memang iklanya untuk menyembuhkan jerawat, dan waktu liat review nya juga bagus. Klinik ini juga salah satu termasuk klinik terkenal. Jadilah konsultasi bla bla bla. Dari awal sih udah ada yang janggal, karena gk dilihat dulu kondisi dan type kulit ku kayak apa. ‘dokter’ nya Cuma ngeliat kondisi jerawat ku seperti apa, trus nyaranin buat langsung tindakan disuruh facial, dikasih cream ini cream itu bla bla bla.
